After completing My Body-Mine, I knew I would continue to write until I'm old and gray (okay, I'm already partially gray but you know what I mean).
It took me a bit to get into it but then I fell in love with the story. I probably would have rated it 4 1/2 stars if I could have but felt it closer to a 5 than 4. I loved the romance and the intrigue regarding the families that are slowly revealed. Fun to see an unknown person thrown in to the mix and how she shakes things up. The sex scenes, although not really graphic were a turn on.
I really enjoyed this book. The ending is heart wrenching for sure. I would give this book 4 1/2 stars if Goodreads allowed it.
I'd give a 3 1/2 stars if GR would let me. I liked the story pretty well but she way over used was/were. It was a slow burn historical romance.
I thought she was brilliant at people description but overly wordy to get to the point. I found the ending so very unsatisfying. I would not recommend it.
My Body-His (Marcello), the second in the My Body Trilogy (dark, erotic, suspense), has a lot of highs and lows. Jane's plight tore at my heart and I felt all her emotions along the way. Although Jane has the most evolution through the course of the trilogy, Marcello has a pretty wide character arc as well. I hated him so much at first but he showed he had the personality to evolve in light of what Jane experiences. I love that my characters surprise me and Marcello definitely did.
This book will always be very special to me since it was my first published. I remember reading my very first review by BookieNookie and I got very scared. She REALLY felt it! Then I realized that it was a good thing. If I could do anything differently with this novel it would be to make it even more clear (I thought it was clear enough) that this story is about a dysfunctional relationship and not a romance. Well you live and learn and I learned so much in the process of writing the trilogy.
